The Illinois Supreme Court is only able to grant a small percentage of the many Petitions for Leave to Appeal it receives. Two highly experienced Supreme Court practitioners, Karen L. Kendall, the current President of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, and Michael W. Rathsack, a former President of the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association, will tell you how to successfully petition for, and defend against, leave to appeal to our state’s highest court.
